COOKIES & PRIVACY.

This website tries not to use cookies for marketing purposes.

This website is not (intentionally) collecting your browsing data for targeting, performance, marketing or for analytics. â€‹Do not be alarmed, it is quite intentional.

It is important to know your rights when it comes to your personal data therefore if you would like to change yours at any time, it is your legal right. You are able to wipe all data by visiting the bottom of every page on this website and clicking on the link that says 'Do not sell my personal information.'

Why would you ever choose not to use my cookies?

Rather than making assumptions from your browsing data, I believe it's important to have a genuine, personalized, bespoke and ethical marketing approach.

For years brands and advertisers have had the ability to turn a cookie into a customer. But this year, Google has announced that their Chrome browser (60% market share) will block future cookies and third-party data by 2022. The motivation for this is apparently driven by customer demand who prefer personalized ads that are tailored to their needs and interests. Google Chrome’s cookie ban is good news for Google and user's privacy.

Knowing that there are constraints on advertisers and as remarketing becomes harder, marketing strategies will require a renewed focus towards the first impression. It will require a competent marketeer to craft eye-catching ads and great content for multiple platforms.

For CRM and first-party data, brands need to pay more attention to their existing userbase and look to utilise this more and more within the guidelines of permissions gained to do so. This requires strategic thinking around messaging and the value they are adding to the customer.

An audience-first approach is crucial for the future of marketing, and therefore we need to be more creative and mindful of our customers and how we market to them.
